Irish Charm (Fae and Seamus Drabble #1)

McGonagall walked the new Gryffindor student to the tower. They entered the commonroom. All eyes were on her. "Attention Gryffindors! We have a new student. Her name is Faylean O'Riley", McGonagall said. Faylean shyly waved. McGonagall turned and left. "I'm Harry Potter", Harry said. Faylean cocked her head to the side in confusion. "You don't know who I am?" he asked. She shook her head no. "Are you a muggle born?" Hermione asked. Faylean shook her head again. Faylean took a seat next to the fire. A boy sat next to her. "I'm Neville Longbottom", he said. "Fae", Faylean said. "Fae's an interesting name", Neville said. "So is Neville", Fae said, "I'm a half-blood". "My friend Seamus is a half-blood", he said. "He's Irish", Fae said. "How did you know?" Neville asked. "Seamus is an Irish name", she said. "Seamus is out on the quidditch pitch playing football", Neville said. "Can we go there?" Fae asked. "Of course", Neville said.
Neville and Fae went to the quidditch pitch. "Oi, Neville!" Seamus yelled. Fae was right, Seamus was Irish. "Hey Seamus. This is the new girl, Fae", Neville said. "You know how to play?" Seamus asked. Fae nodded. "You wanna play?" Dean asked. "No", Fae said, "I'll just watch". "That's no fun", Seamus said. "I know how to play, but I don't like to play it", Fae said, "I'm more of a dancer". "What kind of dance?" Seamus asked. "Free-style", Fae said, "I'll dance to anything you give me". "Fine. Then go with me to the Halloween dance", Seamus said. "Okay", Fae said. "Wait. What?" Seamus asked. "It was your lucky charms that won me over", Fae said walking off.
